Wrap Your Lips Around This

Various people have told me to ditch the coat and enjoy the last few days of summer, and so it’s with caution that I’ve come out in just a cardigan, although I’ve still slipped on my timberland-eque booties with white trim as I’m firmly of the belief that if you’re toes are taken care of, the rest will follow. My friend is right though; I have all winter to make friends again with a woolly coat, and so I’m determined to be out in the last rays of summer, and am glad that Mendoza Square, the restaurant I’m visiting today, have the same idea in mind.
I was excited to spot Mendoza Square in Clapham North which opened recently, as it immediately brought back memories of my recent trip to South America, which included several days in Mendoza. However the name might be slightly deceiving as instead of focusing on Argentinean cuisine, the home of Mendoza, it instead features a fusion of Latin American cuisine across it’s menu. Don’t worry, I’m not holding this against them, a variety can be good, and they serve Quilmes!
If you want to eat your way around South America and not leave your table, then Mendoza Square in Clapham is just the place. It opened recently in Clapham North on Bedford Road and I was invited to come and try out their menu. Mendoza Square is a colourful and cozy venue with a front side terrace that basks in the sun in the early summer evening, London weather permitting of course. Inside there are bar style high tables on one side, and lower version on the other and lots of Latin looking murals.
